As we enter the second quarter, it’s time to reflect on our progress and set new goals for the Cost Calculator. In this article, we’ll review what we’ve achieved so far and open our plans for the second quarter (Q2).
What we have achieved so far:
- More payment options. In addition to PayPal and Stripe, we’ve integrated Razor and added a setting for cash payments.
- Group field. It lets our users categorize and conditionally display sets of fields.
- Discounts and promo codes. Users can now add discounts and promo codes to their calculators.
- Geolocation element. A new Geolocation element lets customers add their locations, choose starting and ending points or pick a branch.
- Confirmation page setting. Users can now choose to display a confirmation page or just a message after calculations.
- More file types. We have added support for .tiff format files and CSV format selection for File Upload.
- More improvements for user-friendliness. Improvements are a button to switch to a specific calculator editor, customizable measuring units, and Terms and Conditions agreement settings.
- Easier customization. We have added an updated Appearance tab with pre-made themes, customizable themes, collapsible sections, and improved repeater element functionality.
- Widget support. The Cost Calculator can now be effortlessly integrated as a widget for Gutenberg.
Sticky Calculator
We’re adding a Sticky Calculator to jazz up your website pages. This cool feature adds a sticky bar with a button that stays visible as users scroll. With just a click, users can easily hop back to the calculator or perform other actions in a snap.
Step-by-Step Calculator
When creating a new calculator, you will have the option to choose the type of calculator you need. With the Step-by-Step Calculator, you can guide your audience through a process with clear steps.
Validated Form
We’ll be adding a Validated form element in the builder. With it, users can get numbers, email addresses, URLs, and names, all in one field.
Better Order Management
We’re making managing orders easier than ever with some new updates. You’ll export your orders to CSV, Google Sheets, or Excel with just a click. You can also filter them by payment method, dates, or even the calculators used. It’s simpler than ever to find the information you need.
PDF Customization
In the next updates, you’ll have more features to customize your PDFs effortlessly. You can add move things around—whatever suits your vibe. This means you’ll have more control to make your PDFs look exactly how you want them to.
