We want to officially announce the ending of support for a legacy version of the course builder in MasterStudy LMS from September 1st, 2023. As part of the natural lifecycle of our products, we have decided to focus only on our enhanced new course builder.
Why Do We Plan to Stop Supporting the Legacy Course Creation?
The new course builder represents a significant upgrade over its predecessors with a fresh design and better user experience. Now the course content editor, settings configuration, pricing options, and other features have their own sections for a more smooth and intuitive workflow.
On 8 May, we released a MasterStudy LMS 3.0 with a new course builder. After positive feedback from our users and made improvements, we are confident now the course builder is stable and ready for use.
We understand that some users may still be using the legacy course creation process. So that is why we are providing access to both the legacy and new course creation processes. This was made to ensure a smooth transition and users can gradually get used to the new course builder.
Therefore, from September 1st, 2023 we will stop to support the legacy course creation process.
Note! All existing courses (with lessons, quizzes, assignments, videos, and so on) will remain intact and accessible even after the support for the legacy course builders ends. Nothing will be lost or disappear.
Your Next Steps: What You Can Do
If you are already using our new course builder, then you probably know how it works. There is nothing to do.
If you haven’t tried the new builder yet, it is time to start exploring its interface and features. To help you understand and adapt to the new course builder effectively, you can watch our step-by-step instruction video.
New users will encounter the LMS Wizard upon activation of MastrStudy for the first time. During the configuration, you will need to create the LMS pages. If you skip this step for some reason, you can find these settings in MS LMS -> Settings -> LMS Pages. This will guarantee the correct work of the course creation process.
Moving forward, the new course builder will be our primary focus as we continue to enhance and evolve our learning management system.
If you have issues or troubles we have the premium support service or share your feedback through the form.
