Our aspirational goal is to transform the way our users develop cost calculators, making it easier for you to be more reliable and efficient with your time.
Our team worked hard to ensure that your transition to Cost Calculator 3.0 will go as secure as possible. But at the same time, we’re keenly aware that every software update means an inevitable period with a few rough edges. And so, with thought for you, we’ve developed a “magic” toggle that will help you roll back to version 2.0 at any time, with no effort at all. The fantastic thing about it is that there’s no need for prior backups, no need to duplicate sites, and no need to waste your precious time.
The 2.0 will be supported until September 2022, and we hope that you will test out the new version of the Calculator and leave your feedback, thus making an invaluable contribution to the development of your favorite product.
Here are the highlights we made for you:
- New: Brand-new UI. The Calculators front-end UI kit has undergone drastic modification. The spirit of change has been imbued throughout every tab, button, box, and component. Try this out!
- New: Optimal navigation. There’s no need anymore to go to the WordPress dashboard trying to find your orders, accounts, etc. Navigate between calculators list, orders, settings, and your accounts within the dashboard – a horizontal panel.
- New: Manage all points of the Contact Form in one place. Send Form and Default Form settings are merged and are located under Send Form.
- New: Discover excellence with the new calculator builder. The significant transformation of the calculator builder focused on a better user experience.
- The list with the elements comes on the left side and the element settings are shown on the right side of the new calculator rather than in the popup window.
- Preview, Save buttons and Short Code copy field moved to the top of the builder, so you won’t have to scroll anymore to preview, copy or save.
- Elements are grouped into categories, and the elements’ settings are divided into Main Settings and Options for handy navigation.
- New: Be aware of your orders. Orders placed through WooCommerce forms can now be retrieved with a single click in the Orders section.
- New: Form Notification. When the form is successfully submitted, a notification displays on the front end. You can change the text of the message in the admin panel if you like.
- New: Go global, keep unique. Now you can set up the currency, email, Captcha, PayPal, and Stripe globally in one fell swoop for all your calculators, just use the toggle. Global settings are neatly organized. In like, each calculator can still be customized individually.
- New: Bind calculator to Payments instantly. The selection of Total has been added to the PayPal, Stripe, and WooCheckout settings. Previously, a user had to create a short code with a decent ID.
- New: Reveal your style to the world. Good news, now you can show your sense of style in every aspect. Thrilled? Let’s dive into the details then.
- New: The box can differ. The Box style now features Two Columns, a fresh aesthetic. The Setting itself and Horizontal view have been moved from Calculator fields to the Appearance tab.
- New: Set the mood with Presets. Save yourself the hassle of remembering the colors of your calculators to create another one, just create and apply Presets. You will discover them in the top right corner of the Appearance tab.
- New: Ta-dah! We added Mobile settings to the Appearance tab and split the appearance customization into the Desktop and the Mobile. From now on, you can preview and adjust the changes instantly.
- Removed: Gradient feature was eliminated from the Appearance settings.
