Today we decided to post a link to our video tutorial where we show you how to create a sports news site based on Splash WordPress theme.
Firstly you need to install the theme by uploading it in the appearance section, after that generate a token key by following this video and use it here, then import demo content. The most suitable demos are these. For example, we will use Football Club News layout.
The Demo comes with ready pages so you can change ready elements for your needs, for example in “Latest News Most Style” you can manage views styles, there are 5 different styles, show posts by category, order by popularity, enable load more button and numbers to display. With these options, you can make about 80 design variations.
There are also two exclusive modules to show video posts, all you need to do is just enter post id. Beside this you can add results via “Results Table with Ajax” module, you can also check our SportPress video to find more about results table, team and players.
In order to create Posts, you need to go to the same name section. Let’s check current posts. You can use classic or page builder mode in order to create the site, on the right side you can choose format, our theme works perfectly with Standart and Video formats. Select categories, tags, background image and enter youtube URL if you choose a video format. Besides this, you can enable some page features, like transparent header, hide page title, breadcrumbs, footer image and remove the paddings.
That’s it, now you have Your very own sports news website and can use it as you wish.
