    On a couple of my pages, the upper footer appears in front of the main page content so half of the window is not visible when viewing the page. I don’t understand why this is.

    It seems there is a problem with your third party plugins. Please deactivate them and check this page once again.

    Also you can use below Custom CSS in order to disable Fixed Footer feature in your site:

    body #footer {
        position: static;
    #wrapper #main {
        padding-bottom: 0px;
