I translated and generated the .po and .mo files to Canadian French with Poedit and uploaded the files to the language folder on the server. They are in the same folder as the .pot file provided with the theme. From there, it doesn’t seem like wordpress recognizes anything. When I switch language to French Canadian instead of French France in the admin panel, WordPress then turns back to English. What am I missing here? I need the French translation as some of the elements, especially in the events pages stay in English event if WordPress is in French. As a French school’s site, it’s just not acceptable. What are my options?
Please try to use Loco Translate plugin and add needed translations to your language file. And please create ticket if you it doesn’t solve your problem. We will check it on your end and try to help you.
